On June 15 we ran from Lone Pine, California to the Las Vegas Sign. Four runners. Four hundred kilometers. Straight through Death Valley, in June, because the whole point of this brand is that the burden comes first.
We did not do it for content. We did it because VOL:001 makes claims about heat, distance, and failure points, and claims are cheap until you carry them across a desert.
HOW IT WORKED
Relay format. Each runner took pulls, handing off as the temperature climbed past anything a spec sheet calls reasonable. The support vehicle logged conditions the entire way. Ground temperatures in the valley passed 127 degrees. The gear on our backs was the same gear entering the record: the 2026 Racing Vest, the race shorts, the kit you will see on August 15.
Nothing we shipped survived untouched. That is the standard, not the apology.

WHAT BROKE, WHAT HELD
The micromesh held airflow past 110 degrees and kept holding. Bonded seams stayed bonded. What gave out was exactly what should give out first: surface finish, print edges, the parts of a garment that take the beating so the structure does not. That data went straight back into production. Two construction changes in the final run came directly from this route.
THE FINISH
All four of us ran the last five miles together and touched the sign at the same time. That is the only way this brand finishes anything.
